Pictorial - easy heart manicure for beginners

Hi everybody!
Here's a very simple tutorial/ pictorial on how to do a heart manicure using normal tape, scissors and nail polish. It's easy to do and very good for people who want to try on nail art, or why not when you should paint your nail design with your non-dominant hand. You know it can be tricky! :)
So here we go:
1. fold the piece of tape in two and cut a half heart. That way it will be symmetrical and exactly the same on both sides.
2. Place the piece of tape on your finger.
3. Paint nail polish in another color than the base. This way you don't have to watch out for the lines, the tape will save your design. Add a couple of coats.
4. Remove the tape. Add top coat.
(5. Optional: add some glitter around the heart. I think it makes the design a little bit funnier. Many stores sell these glitter polishes with a very thin brush that makes it easy to draw around different designs to make them look cooler.)
And DONE :)

What do you think? Would you like to have more pictorials/ tutorials or just keep on going the same way as before? :) Have a good polished day everyone!

Cupcake nails

Hola!
Did some cupcake nails yesterday.. I'm really not happy with the result but I thought I'd show you them anyway. So I'll probably repaint my nails as soon as I have time for it!
Hope you've had a great start on a new week!

Bright gradient nails

I am so tired of waiting for spring to properly begin. I live in Finland, so we still have some snow on the ground, so depressing! So I decided to start spring anyways with my nails, even though I still have to wear a big winter jacket etc.. So I went with a gradient using three brand new, bright colors from Lumene, out in stores NOW! Also I just went with the middle color of the gradient + some rhinestones & micro beads on one finger.

Colors I've used by Lumene Gloss & Care, from left to right: 29 Quivering, 30 Dandelions and 24 In The Bud

I hope you like it! Happy polishing, xxx.

Cross nails using micro beads

Hi everyone! This is my first attempt using micro beads. I bought them from a Nail art shop in Thailand. Placing them was easier than I'd expected but I noticed that I've already lost some of them and I did my nails yesterday. Do you have any personal tips on how to get them to last longer?

The light mint-green polish is from a market in Thailand and the blue one I've used for the dots and crosses is by H&M.

Purple and pink rose french manicure

Hi everyone!

So here's today's new manicure; a light purple/pink rose french tip. I really love how it's cute and colorful for spring. *Let's hope the snow will melt away soon here in Finland as well*..  Oh and I know, here I haven't been cleaning away the excess nail polish on my cuticles yet! I just wanted to take the picture as soon as I was done painting the flowers before I mess up some part of a nail before it's really dry.
What do you think?

Golden and light pink gradient manicure

Hi there! Here's my latest manicure, a golden/ light pink gradient. I love the pastel finish. Though it was hard to capture a good picture that really shows the colors. But I can tell you it's a lot more shimmery in reality. I think it's a great style now for spring. :)

Here are the polishes I used for the gradient: (from left) LUMENE gloss & care nr. 35 Preciousness and nr. 8 Glamorous.

It's been a long time!

Hi there again! I hope you're doing good. Wow, it's been ages since I posted any of my nail pics here. I kind of got lazy with it, and honestly I kind of lost the motivation. It's just been so many other things happening. Right now I'm living in Khao Lak, Thailand, and in a few months I'll move back to Finland again. :) Anyhow, here's a simple nail design. Just golden nail polish, and  some leopard print on my ring fingers. All polishes are from Lumene.
Have a great day, xo.
