Marimekko Nails

Hello July!
Here are my Marimekko nails in a pattern called "Unikko". Very patriotic of me, haha. (as you may know Marimekko is a well-known Finnish brand). Do you recognize the pattern?

I also have some not-so-good news. I'm going through a tuff time in life right now. So I think I'll take a break from the blog-writing. But please continue following me on Instagram :) I think that's easier to handle right now.

Pink Spring Nails

Hi! First of all, I know I haven't posted in over a week but a was on a lovely holiday on Crete! :) I hope you understand I just took the week to relax and enjoy. Haha but I did miss painting my nails so that was the first thing I did this morning!

But back to business and today's nails: First of all I wanted to show a spring nail polish swatch.
This is the color I used as a base for today's design. It's the perfect summer pink polish. It comes from Lumene, and is nr 27 Bright Day.

And then to the design: some wine red/ light pink cherry blossoms. So cute for spring, don't you think?

Green and white flower nails

Hello ladies! Here comes today's nail art. Just like my past two posts it's a part of this #Nailartmay challenge on Instagram. The challenge was to match your outfit of the day. On the last picture you can see a little bit of the skirt I was wearing.. And matching with a white top.

Therefore: Green/ white flower manicure today. I really like the result this time! :)
What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

Polishes I've used (from left to right):
LUMENE Natural Code - nr 10 Bohemian
LUMENE Natural Code - nr 9 Fairytale
LUMENE Gloss & Care - nr 23 Blueness
Isa Dora - nr 603 Tip White

#Nailartmay on Istagram. Day One!

Hi lovely ladies! I hope you've had a great start on May! :) Feels like April just started, time's flying past.
But back to the nails on top. @Californails on instagram is each month hosting a Nail Art Challenge. Any nail art enthusiast understands the fun of it, right? So every 2/3 days there's a different theme for nail art and then you just have to try to finish as many of the themes as possible. Oh, and hash-tag them #nailartmay.
But anyways, this months first challenge was flowers, so here we go, a lot of spring time colored flowers on my nails! :)
So this month you'll all get to follow my nail art through this challenge.

Nude nails with pink flowers

Hello lovely ladies! I'm still rocking my latest mani (the moustache nails), but I painted my little sisters nails today. :) She wanted something not so flashy, but still a little bit more than just the regular one-color manicure. So as a base color on all nails I used a peachy/nude nail polish from Lumene. And then I just painted some pink flowers on a few nails using a nail art brush and a dotting tool.
What do you think?

Purple and pink rose french manicure

Hi everyone!

So here's today's new manicure; a light purple/pink rose french tip. I really love how it's cute and colorful for spring. *Let's hope the snow will melt away soon here in Finland as well*..  Oh and I know, here I haven't been cleaning away the excess nail polish on my cuticles yet! I just wanted to take the picture as soon as I was done painting the flowers before I mess up some part of a nail before it's really dry.
What do you think?

Tutorial - rose nails

Hi there! This is a nail art design that I did last year (you can find the post HERE) But I got a comment about the fact that there's no tutorial, so I made one! I haven't been doing tutorials before... Sometimes I've just explained briefly what I've done but here we go! I hope this helps!!

1. Paint the whole nails in one color. Then make big dots in another color. They don't need to be perfect circles!

2. Then make three a little bit irregular lines around the dot and one half-moon or something similar in the middle using e.g. a nail art brush.

3. Make green leaves, and again, they don't need to be regular! You can just make really small stripes around the rose.

Pink gradient nails

Hi everyone!

I did my nails this morning, and here's the result! I've realized that lately I've done a lot of girly summerish designs, and here's another one. I'll try to get some more variety, I promise!
But anyhow, for this one I first made a pink gradient using three different colors, and then stamped on the white flowers.

I hope you like it!

Golden french tip with flower

Hi! Sorry I know it's been ages! But the truth is I haven't really had the time nor the energy to even think about painting my nails.. I've just had so much going on but now I'm back! :)
Hope you like this one, it's just a simple golden french manicure with some pink flowers on.

Golden and wine red manicure with white flowers

Hi again! I hope you're doing great! :)
This is my latest manicure, great for spring/summer.. Or I think this will look so hot in the summer with a great tan! Very easy to do: first I painted the whole nail golden, then I put some tape on the top half of my finger and painted the lower part wine red. When the wine red had dried I stamped the white flowers on top using Bundle Monsters plate BM16.

Going Girly

I really like this kind of nails and I know that I do them quite often.. or at least something similar to this. But it's simple and cute and looks like u have put a lot of effort in them. I've done them by hand on nail chips, so it's not my real nails. (I don't think I could do this with my left hand, hahhaa) Well, I hope you like it and have a good week everyone!

Neon yellow toenails with orange flowers

This is my latest pedicure. I've used a neon yellow nail polish as a base and then I've painted some orange flowers with some golden and light blue details. The hole pedicure is done freehanded, I haven't used any stampings and so on..

Blue nails with red flowers

So, this is a quite simple nail design.. Just some blue nail polish as a base and then some red handmade flowers on top. First I did the whole flower in dark red and then I added some light pink in the middle and after that some darker spots in the middle.

Have a good night everyone!

Wine-red nails with simple white flower

Hi! For this manicure I used one of my favourite nail polishes at the moment, nr 33 Sensual Glam/ Lumoojatar by Lumene. I just think wine-red nail polish looks so good in the winter! Then I just did a very simple and easy white and golden flower.. And done!
I hope you like it.
